UNIQLO CALENDAR

6月10日にuniqloからuniclockに続き、uniqlo calenderがでました。screen saverはまだないようですが、さすがuniqlo。なかなかの面白さです。
after the big hit of uniqlock, the winner of Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, uniqlo again released the remarkable new web work.

まるでミニチュアのように撮影された街の風景が、高速ムービーで延々と流れるカレンダーコンテンツ。
日付や、登録地域の天気が表示される機能も。また、流れるムービーをクリックすると、ユニクロが展開する商品の画像で作られたフォトモザイクとなる仕掛けが用意されている。

↑ということらしいです。

beach animal

Theo JansenのBeach Animal達が日比谷パティオに現れました。
元物理学者でありながら突然画家を目指した異色の経歴をもつartistの作品たちです。
エンジンなどは一切使わず動力はすべて空気。触覚を使うことで自分で方向転換も止まったりもできるのです。海岸を走ることを想定しているので蹄がついていたりもします。
寿命は約２－３年ほど。動けなくなった時点で死んだとみなされます。

those beach animals, which were created by Theo Jansen emerged in Hibiya patio in Aip 2009.
Theo's career is very unique. he used to be a physicist, but he suddenly quit his position and became a artist.
His works are not used any electronic power or engine at all. the kinetic energy for those objects is just air. These animals are available to stop or even to turn around by their antenna.

今回は室内での展示なので外ほどダイナミックには動いていませんでしたが、動いているBeachAnimalはナウシカのオウムを思い出しました。

These animals reminds me of my favorite animator Hayao MIyazaki world.
